Pharmacist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in our pharmacy services.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily operations and personnel management of pharmacy services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Establish effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Communicate department needs to the Director and collaborate with medical staff on prescriptive issues and therapy recommendations.
  • Support the management team in meeting facility goals and objectives.

Requirements:
  • Current license to practice pharmacy.
  • IV Certification (ACPE certified).
  • Two to five years of hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Competent knowledge of the development needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission and Medicare standards affecting pharmacy.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with all types of personnel, medical staff, and the public.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Ability to act as liaison between personnel and management.
