Job Title: Lead Patient Access Specialist

Job Summary:

The Lead Patient Access Specialist is a key member of our Access Services team, responsible for ensuring seamless patient access to our healthcare services. This role requires exceptional communication and technical skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial counseling and collect co-pays and deductibles from patients and their families.
  • Verify insurance benefit information and generate ABNs as needed.
  • Review orders for compliance and complete MSPs, obtaining financial and treatment consents as required.
  • Place ordered medical procedures and obtain pre-certification when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in customer service and general clerical/office procedures.
  • Medical Terminology certification preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based computer technology, including keyboarding and typing at least 30 wpm.
