Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all accounting functions associated with our Property and Casualty Insurance operations.
- Prepare and evaluate comprehensive financial reports, identifying trends or concerns that require attention.
- Ensure the precise and timely processing of all financial transactions.
- Conduct thorough account reconciliation to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Collaborate with various departments to enhance processes, boost financial performance, and achieve business goals.
- Stay updated on financial regulations and legislation to ensure compliance at all times.
- Assist with both internal and external audits, supplying necessary information and addressing any inquiries or issues that may arise.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior accounting personnel, promoting a culture of learning and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Insurance Accounting, particularly within the Property and Casualty Insurance domain.
- Strong understanding of insurance accounting principles and regulations.
- Proficient in account reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Exceptional analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex financial data and delivering effective solutions.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
