Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager II to oversee and direct the performance of all field construction activities for assigned projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate and direct construction craftsmen and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assure compliance with Fluor's Operating System Requirements (OSR) and Operating System Implementation Plan (OSIP)
  • Execute field construction activities in accordance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, and quality requirements
  • Control project schedule and cost through efficient use of construction resources
  • Monitor productivity and cost, and implement actions to maintain maximum labor productivity and cost-effectiveness
  • Develop and maintain a strong safety culture on the project
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in a relevant field of study, and sixteen years of work-related experience, or a combination of education and experience equal to twenty years if non-degreed
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, and contractors
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal statutes and guidelines
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven ability to promote outstanding customer service and client relations
  • Excellent skills in interpersonal relations, conflict resolution, communication, and leadership
  • Basic computer and software skills, including word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation programs
  • Competency in project controls, human relations, industrial relations, and contract management
  • Demonstrated strong decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
