Job Summary

U.S. Engineering is seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Installer Journeyman to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and owners' representatives to ensure successful commissioning efforts.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical components of HVAC equipment.
  • Provide startups and troubleshooting for commercial HVAC systems, and make recommendations to customers.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial/industrial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems.
  • Perform related work as assigned.
  • Accept handoffs to complete full installations of RTU's, AHU's, MAU's, Chillers, Boilers, pumps, Split Systems, and VRF systems.
  • Prepare for on-site installations and repairs by examining building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work.
  • Maintain vehicles by keeping records of service manuals, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance services.
  • Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
  • Assist in new construction installations of HVAC equipment and piping.
  • Stay current with manufacturers' products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
  • Apply local HVAC codes in a practical manner on each job.
  • Work with inspectors, suppliers, and co-worker technicians to ensure correct project work while adhering to all codes.
  • Provide excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Current Master's HVAC license in the local region (recommended).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of service experience specific to commercial and industrial HVAC.

  • Minimum of $35.75/hr on the check + $15.47/hr in benefits for a total pay of $51.22 an hour.
