Certification Requirements- AHA Certification: Only accepted; RQI is permissible.
- Specialty Requirements: Relevant for nursing specialties at select facilities including Cath Lab, CC Step-Down, CCU, CVICU, Dialysis, Endoscopy/GI, ER, ICU, L&D, MICU, Neuro ICU, NICU, OR, Outpatient Surgery, PACU, Pre-Op, SICU, Telemetry, and Transplant.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- AWONN Intermediate: Required for L&D RNs.
- National Tech Certification Verification
- Sex Offender Search
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years required; first-time travelers are not accepted.
- On-Call Requirement: Candidates must be available for on-call duties.
- Proficiency: Candidates must demonstrate high proficiency in all aspects of cardiac cases.
- Identification: A current and valid Driver's License, State ID, or government-issued photo ID is mandatory.
- Document Submission: All copies must be in color; black and white copies are not acceptable.
- Certification Renewal: If certifications are set to expire within 30 days of the start date, renewal must be completed prior to commencement.
- Verification: Online verification of relevant professional certifications is required within 30 days before the start date and must be updated annually.
- HIPAA Acknowledgment: Required and must be updated annually.
- License Verification: Required within 30 days of start.
- Active License: All candidates must possess an active LA License or Compact License upon submission.
- NURSYS: Required within 30 days of start.
- CPI Card Renewal: Candidates must renew their CPI cards through Ochsner and schedule a call for this process.
- Annual Updates: All certifications must be updated annually.
