We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Medical Office Administrator to join our team at Pro Fit Prosthetics and Orthotics in West Berlin, NJ.

The estimated annual salary for this role is around $45,000 - $60,000, depending on experience.

Job Description

This is a full-time position with regular working hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. As a Medical Office Administrator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to patients, fellow employees, and referral sources through the coordination and administration of front office activities.

  • Scheduling Appointments: You will be responsible for scheduling appointments for patients and ensuring that their records are up-to-date.
  • Patient Records: You will be responsible for creating new patient charts and maintaining accurate and complete patient records.
  • Scanning and Filing: You will be responsible for scanning and filing patient documents, ensuring that all information is accurate and complete.
  • Managing Phone Calls: You will be responsible for managing incoming phone calls and responding to telephone inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Insurance Authorization: You will be responsible for obtaining insurance authorization for patients and ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED: You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Administrative Experience: You must have at least one year of administrative experience in healthcare.

In addition to the above qualifications, we prefer candidates with experience as an administrative assistant or office manager in the prosthetic and orthotic industry. Proficiency in electronic insurance verification/authorization systems, such as Navinet and Availity, and experience with EMR/electronic health/medical record systems are also preferred.
