Medical Laboratory Professional with Expertise in Complex Testing

Salaried PositionWe are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Professional to join our team. This role is a salaried position, offering an estimated annual salary of $85,000 - $105,000.
About the JobThis full-time position is responsible for performing complex medical laboratory tests for diagnosis and treatment of disease. You will analyze and assume accountability for accurate test results, maintenance of complicated instruments, and monitoring quality control and quality assurance programs.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Performing specimen processing and testing independently to include moderate and high complexity testing.
- Analyzing test results and assuming accountability for accuracy.
- Understanding, performing, and practicing preventive maintenance on equipment; troubleshoots and takes corrective action.
- Demonstrating pro-active problem-solving skills to identify problems and take appropriate action.
- Understanding, performing, and practicing quality control management to include running controls, evaluating data, documentation of data, and taking corrective action as required.
- Anticipating and evaluating need for new methods, instrumentation, and technology in terms of customer need, cost benefit and revenue generation, and informing management about findings.
- Assuring compliance with accrediting agencies.
- Acting as a resource to customers both within the department and outside the department.
You will have the opportunity to manage assigned projects, including developing a plan, coordinating necessary resources, setting project timelines, keeping Manager informed of progress, and completing project within established time limits.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 15 years of clinical lab experience or equivalent education and experience combination.
- One of the following certifications: MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), CLT(NCA), MLT(ASCP), or MLT(AMT).
