DHL Global Forwarding (DGF) oversees the movement of goods and information throughout a customer's international supply chain, utilizing air, ocean, and ground transportation, customs brokerage services, and dedicated warehousing and distribution facilities.
We are pleased to present an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Support Coordinator to facilitate various levels of customer engagement and act as a primary point of contact for one of our major strategic DGF clients with a sophisticated supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
• Daily monitoring and tracking of all customer shipments, including key milestones for all inbound capital and critical support items.
• Processing shipments within the customer's SAP system.
• Coordinating transportation between offsite warehouses and multiple docks at the customer's facility.
• Providing recommendations for process enhancements.
• Collaborating with contracted carriers and warehouse 3PLs within the designated timelines outlined in the Service Level Guidelines (SLG).
• Acting as the first level of escalation and driving issues towards resolution.
• Continuously assessing, clarifying, and validating customer needs.
• Fostering collaboration with freight forwarding business units and external partners to develop solutions that address customers' evolving needs and expectations.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Skills / Requirements:
• Preferred bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and education.
• Ability to proactively identify value opportunities, take initiative, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
• Strong customer service and collaboration skills, with relevant experience.
• Proven ability to advocate for concepts, ideas, and continuous process improvement opportunities to stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and assertive, with the capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects and timelines.
• Previous experience in the transportation or supply chain logistics sector is preferred; familiarity with SAP and AES is a plus.
