Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Check-in and Registration: Verify patient demographics, confirm appointment times, and collect co-payments and balances.
  • Insurance Verification and Scheduling: Confirm insurance eligibility and schedule appointments in person or by phone.
  • Chart Preparation and Review: Prepare and review patient charts for appointments, and process orders as needed.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, greet patients, and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
  • Inventory Management and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain office inventory and equipment, including ordering supplies and scheduling repairs.
  • Emergency Response and Confidentiality: Respond to emergencies and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Sound Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
  • Insurance Knowledge and Experience: Familiarity with insurance guidelines and entry procedures.
  • Financial Collections Experience: Previous experience in financial collections, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
  • Ability to Multitask and Prioritize: Ability to handle high patient volumes and prioritize tasks effectively.
Additional Information

This role will be included in a mandatory backup rotation for urgent care coverage on Monday-Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays. Additional compensation will be paid at an on-call hourly rate.
