Job Summary

As a Truck Driver at Cardinal Glass Industries, you will be responsible for safely transporting finished goods to customer locations. This role requires a current Class A CDL Commercial Drivers License and the ability to maintain a clean driving record. You will also be responsible for ensuring cargo is secure, obtaining customer signatures for goods delivered, and collecting and returning empty racks and carts for delivery locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a current Class A CDL Commercial Drivers License and ensure a clean driving record.
  • Ensure cargo is secure and properly loaded/unloaded.
  • Transport finished goods to customer locations and obtain customer signatures for goods delivered.
  • Collect and return empty racks and carts for delivery locations.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections of the vehicle and complete daily driver logs in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maneuver and control the vehicle in a safe fashion, following all applicable traffic laws.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and representation of the company.
  • Responsible for routine fueling, lubricating, and servicing of the vehicle.
  • Travel to customers and work outside, sometimes more than 100 miles from the plant.
  • Report any incidents encountered on the road to the manager immediately.

Requirements

  • Current Class A CDL Commercial Drivers License.
  • Ability to maintain a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of multi-real axle trucks meeting requirements of Ohio Licensing.
  • General knowledge of laws, regulations, and operation of the stated vehicle.
