Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical services in assigned areas, ensuring safe and effective medication use, and promoting an environment of excellence in patient care. With your expertise, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • • Review orders for appropriateness and verify final results.
    • Assess the effectiveness, safety, and affordability of patient medications, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and optimize patient medication therapy.
    • Provide expert drug information on medication use, dosage, side effects, and composition to physicians, nurses, and patients/families.
    • Monitor inpatient and outpatient profiles for potential issues related to medication interactions, duplication of therapy, and other concerns.
    • Participate in transitions of care and assist with patient access to medications, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among healthcare providers.
    • Engage in quality improvement activities such as floor inspections, medication use evaluations, and documentation of interventions to drive continuous improvement in patient care.


Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • • A Doctoral degree in Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from an accredited institution.
    • A current Texas Pharmacist license and Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers.
    • Prior experience in hospital pharmacy or pediatric clinical pharmacy settings, preferably with 1+ year of experience in similar roles.
    • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams.
