As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our work equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of maintainers to ensure the reliability of work equipment and vehicles
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and programs to minimize downtime and optimize performance
  • Monitor and control maintenance budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and CPKC safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular inspections and evaluations to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective parts and services
  • Provide coaching and training to maintainers to enhance their skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in a railway work equipment maintenance environment
  • Journeymen certificate as a heavy-duty mechanic preferred
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance management principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
