Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) is seeking a highly skilled Work Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance operations in Shreveport, Louisiana. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our work equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and cost-effective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of maintainers to ensure the reliability of work equipment and vehicles
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and programs to minimize downtime and optimize performance
- Monitor and control maintenance budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and CPKC safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections and evaluations to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective parts and services
- Provide coaching and training to maintainers to enhance their skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in a railway work equipment maintenance environment
- Journeymen certificate as a heavy-duty mechanic preferred
- Strong knowledge of maintenance management principles and practices
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
