Position Summary


The Culinary Service Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of food services. Responsibilities include monitoring and documenting food temperatures, maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food items, restocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and processing payments using a computerized register.

Adheres to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines to ensure food safety. Provides exceptional customer service and communicates effectively with patrons and colleagues. Demonstrates the ability to build positive working relationships.

Ensures quality control standards are met.

May operate various equipment such as grills, beverage dispensers, toasters, ice cream machines, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, and refrigeration units.

Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred.

Must be able to work independently when necessary and possess a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Demonstrates the ability to remain on feet for extended periods and walk significant distances.

Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age. Previous experience in customer service, cash handling, and food service is advantageous. Ability to read, write, and follow both oral and written instructions is essential. Basic math skills are required. On-the-job training will be provided.

Depending on the hiring location, Serv Safe certification may be required within a specified timeframe. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may also be necessary based on location requirements.
