Salary: Up to $55,000 - Includes a $1000 Sign-on Bonus
The Special Education Academic Case Manager plays a vital role in collaborating with the Education Team to ensure the safety and well-being of students engaged in the educational program. This position is integral to the academic and therapeutic team, focusing on educating and supervising students during school hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and assess the academic progress of students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with the school curriculum.
- Implement tailored instructional strategies, either individually or through team teaching, for students identified for special education services.
- Monitor and apply behavioral interventions within the classroom environment as necessary.
- Provide guidance to regular classroom teachers on instructional strategies that support the educational advancement of all students.
- Facilitate accommodations for standardized testing in accordance with IEP requirements.
- Complete necessary case management documentation related to IEPs and evaluations as outlined by the Special Education Administrator.
- Assist in procuring supplies essential for specialized instruction and assessment.
- Maintain accurate records, including lesson plans, progress reports, and IEP documentation.
- Engage in ongoing curriculum development and professional training as required.
- Supervise and guide 1:1 aides and teaching assistants in collaboration with the Dean of Students.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and maintain student confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Bachelor's Degree with a professional educator's certification and endorsement in Special Education for the appropriate grade level.
- Preferred: Two or more years of experience in special education instruction, particularly at the middle and high school levels.
- Experience working with students with educational disabilities.
- Possession of a New Hampshire Teacher License.
