Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at WestCare Foundation. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a critical role in providing crisis intervention services to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and outreach to individuals, families, and groups in crisis
  • Transport clinicians to crisis calls within a 60-minute timeframe
  • Participate in clinical team meetings to discuss case plans and interventions
  • Engage individuals and families in crisis planning and de-escalation techniques
  • Assist therapists with consumer interventions and redirect consumers when behavior is inappropriate
  • Provide warm hand-offs to community resources and services
  • Assist with triage of phone calls and provide community resource information as needed
  • Coordinate psychiatric appointments and provide after-hours crisis services
  • Transport individuals to designated receiving facilities as needed
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in behavioral health crisis services
  • Familiarity with Monroe County
  • Bachelor's Degree in human services or related field preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Registered Behavioral Technician Certification strongly preferred
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a professional office/residential setting with some outdoor activities and travel required.
