We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at WestCare Foundation. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a critical role in providing crisis intervention services to individuals in need.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional support and outreach to individuals, families, and groups in crisis
- Transport clinicians to crisis calls within a 60-minute timeframe
- Participate in clinical team meetings to discuss case plans and interventions
- Engage individuals and families in crisis planning and de-escalation techniques
- Assist therapists with consumer interventions and redirect consumers when behavior is inappropriate
- Provide warm hand-offs to community resources and services
- Assist with triage of phone calls and provide community resource information as needed
- Coordinate psychiatric appointments and provide after-hours crisis services
- Transport individuals to designated receiving facilities as needed
- 1-3 years of experience in behavioral health crisis services
- Familiarity with Monroe County
- Bachelor's Degree in human services or related field preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Registered Behavioral Technician Certification strongly preferred
This role requires working in a professional office/residential setting with some outdoor activities and travel required.
