Job Summary

Memorial Hermann TMC Breast Care Center is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team on a PRN basis. This role involves performing mammography radiographic procedures to detect abnormalities, make diagnoses, and treat patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography radiographic exams on patients, ensuring compliance with radiation safety procedures.
  • Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, administer contrast when necessary, position patients, select imaging techniques, and ensure technical quality of images.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, perform quality assurance on mammography equipment, and assist with accreditation applications.
  • Identify and report accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.
  • Provide safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Promote individual professional growth and development, supporting department-based goals and serving as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or approved program of mammography technology.
  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), and Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).
  • Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M).
