About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced School Program Director to join our team at the YMCA of Metropolitan L.A. As a School Program Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of physical education programs for schools.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kinesiology or pedagogy and experience working with youth. You will be required to lead a team of instructors and develop curriculum that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.

In this role, you will work closely with the PLAY Director/Coordinator to ensure that all programs meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to motivate and inspire young people to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of physical education programs for schools
  • Led a team of instructors and developed curriculum that promotes physical fitness and good sportsmanship
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to achieve program goals
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in kinesiology, pedagogy, or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience working with youth in a physical education setting
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults
