We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Host to join our team in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

$45,000 - $55,000 per year
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a passion for hospitality. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing courteous and prompt service to our guests
- Answering incoming phone calls within a timely manner
- Seating guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and placing clean menus in front of guests
- Adhering to seating guidelines to ensure equitable distribution amongst servers
- Greeting guests when entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service
- Assisting with taking orders
- Monitoring dining areas for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests
- Assisting servers when needed
- Thanking every guest upon departure, inviting them to return, and wishing them a fond farewell
- Managing reservations; familiarity with Open Table, Resy, and other reservations platforms
- Successfully adhering to Emmy's Steps of Service
- Working knowledge of menu and beverage offerings
- Ability to communicate guest requests, including dietary restrictions, to culinary staff
- Performing opening and closing duties
- Helping to maintain a clean and presentable work environment
- Maintaining a positive, outgoing demeanor during service
- Being safety-conscious to promote the safety of oneself, coworkers, and guests at all times
- Adhering to company policy and procedures
- Performing other duties as assigned by management
The successful candidate will have prior host or front-of-house experience in a high-volume restaurant operation, excellent customer service, cash handling, service recovery, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, they will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing the needs of guests.
