FPGA Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Engineer to join our team at Universal Avionics. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing state-of-the-art FPGAs for safety-critical avionics applications.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop FPGA architectures and digital circuits for avionics systems
- Develop and review firmware requirements, design data, and VHDL source code
- Integrate firmware with existing systems and develop physical bench tests in the lab
- Work effectively with others in a collaborative team environment and investigate complex problem reports
- Provide input to and review product and/or system requirements
- Extensive experience in FPGA design and development
- Hands-on lab experience with FPGA design tools and design flows
- Proficient in VHDL or Verilog and capable of designing an FPGA with either language
- Ability to apply understanding of digital logic design to the development of FPGAs
- Safe state machines, complex interfaces, timing analysis, and application of constraints
- Understanding of verification concepts for the development of FPGAs
- Commercial avionics design/development experience
- Expert knowledge of FPGA vendor design tools
- FPGA verification and DO-254 DAL A/B design
