Sheetmetal Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled Sheetmetal Instructor to join our team at General Dynamics Electric Boat. As a key member of our Training Department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to students in the sheetmetal trade.

• Instruct and assess students in sheetmetal courses, ensuring they meet the required standards.
• Develop and maintain training materials, including lesson plans and assessments.
• Collaborate with other instructors to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive training program.
• Conduct regular evaluations and provide feedback to students.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in sheetmetal training.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of sheetmetal experience, with a strong background in teaching or training.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students and colleagues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Prior experience teaching or training in a related field.
• Nuclear trade experience or certification.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field.
