Job Summary/Purpose

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Surgical Nurse to join our dedicated team. As a Medical Surgical Nurse at Samaritan Health Services, you will be responsible for providing safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

Department Description

The Medical Surgical unit specializes in the care of acutely ill adults and those who require surgery both emergent and elective. Our patients receive the highest standards of professional care from registered nurses and nurse assistants, with specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing strongly encouraged and supported.

Experience/Education/Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current unencumbered Oregon RN license
  • Healthcare Provider Level BLS required
  • Successful completion of SHS ECG Monitoring class or an equivalent course approved by management within six (6) months of hire
  • ACLS required within six (6) months of hire
  • Orthopedic and Bariatric experience preferred
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year
