Objective: Assist dealership technicians by:

Key Responsibilities

  • Creates, develops, and delivers comprehensive technical training materials and instruction for dealer technical coordinators, dealership technicians, and company staff to improve service capabilities and foster professional growth.
  • Provides technical training on new product launches to personnel involved with the product.
  • Conducts assessments to identify training requirements within the organization.
  • Advises management on specific scenarios that necessitate employee understanding of changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.
  • Determines the type and volume of training materials and instruction required, the media for training, and whether to produce materials in-house or outsource.
  • Develops instructional outlines, selects teaching methods, creates teaching aids, and establishes evaluation and testing procedures.
  • Facilitates training sessions in various areas including new employee orientation, on-the-job training, software usage, apprenticeship programs, customer service, sales techniques, health and safety practices, public relations, refresher courses, promotional development, and leadership training.
  • Monitors trainee progress and regularly updates training programs and methodologies to enhance effectiveness.
  • Conducts training in traditional classroom settings or through interactive virtual formats.
  • Collaborates with technicians to troubleshoot and resolve product-related issues, liaising with manufacturer technical support and product teams as necessary.

Qualifications: Ideal candidates should have a degree in engineering or education, or equivalent experience in progressive training roles that involve classroom instruction, design, development, and delivery of training courses and materials. Strong oral and written communication skills, along with extensive knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures, are essential. A commitment to continuous education and staying informed about industry developments through various resources is expected.

Language Proficiency: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Capable of effectively presenting information and addressing inquiries from management, clients, customers, and the public.

Mathematical Proficiency: Skilled in calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.

Analytical Skills: Proficient in solving practical problems and managing various variables in situations with limited standardization. Capable of interpreting instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled formats.
