Job Overview

Position: Electronics Engineering Technician II

Role Summary: This position involves performing a variety of intricate tasks to support product development and manufacturing processes. Responsibilities may include setting up and operating data acquisition equipment for testing, conducting experiments, documenting and reporting test results, leading compliance and quality initiatives, and training fellow team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct testing on production assemblies and sub-assemblies to ensure proper functionality and adherence to performance specifications.
  • Set up, modify, calibrate, and operate equipment based on detailed instructions.
  • Perform routine experiments and troubleshooting under close supervision to identify root causes and resolve issues.
  • Maintain standard equipment and facilities, ensuring accurate records of work performed.
  • Utilize technical communication skills throughout the product cycle to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Participate in quality control inspections and execute training plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with team leads, engineers, and supervisors to improve quality and process efficiency.
  • Adhere to all environmental health and safety (EHS) and quality procedures.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess an Associate's degree in a relevant field such as Manufacturing, Engineering, or Technology, or a High School diploma accompanied by two years of relevant experience. Key skills include:

  • Ability to troubleshoot at both subsystem and system levels.
  • Competence in interpreting technical information and drawing conclusions from test data.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in a related field or an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology is advantageous. Experience with soldering techniques and proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel are also preferred.

This role is a one-year contract with the possibility of extension, requiring candidates to demonstrate a consistent work history and relevant experience.
