Pharmacy Technician Supervisor Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to join our team at PharMerica. As a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor, you will be responsible for preparing intravenous medications safely for patients, adhering to established protocols of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare medications such as emulsions, liquids, ointments, and powders for the intravenous mixing or compounding procedures.
  • Assist in most aspects of pharmacy practices as allowed by rules and regulations.
  • Create prescription labels, especially for auxiliary or cautionary labels.
  • Maintain inventory, arrange orders for drugs and supplies, check them upon arrival, and replace inventory near expiration.
  • Adhere to USP 797 Clean Room compliance, or other current regulatory guidelines to maintain sterility standards.
  • Lead and direct the work of others.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Communication and extensive attention to detail are required while completing tasks.
Requirements:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five years of experience in discipline.
  • Computer and communication skills.
  • Licensure in consideration with state regulations.
