Key Responsibilities:

  • Stock and maintain housekeeping carts with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure work areas are clean and organized, with equipment and supplies properly stored.
  • Dispose of waste and trash, and replenish receptacles with plastic liners.
  • Polish metal fixtures, including pay phones and water fountains.
  • Clean and sanitize public restrooms.
  • Pick up trash in front and back parking lots.
  • Report lost and found items to supervisors.
  • Assist colleagues with lifting heavy equipment and supplies.
  • Monitor and report housekeeping supply levels.
  • Clean and maintain housekeeping equipment and carts.
  • Perform terminal cleaning procedures.
  • Participate in departmental studies and projects as directed.
  • Complete necessary forms and reports.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including CPR.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Recognize and respond to residents' housekeeping needs.
  • Perform general community housekeeping tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, washing, and waxing.
  • Identify and handle containments and potentially infectious wastes according to guidelines.
  • Follow community guidelines for emergency procedures.
