Key Responsibilities- Repair and Maintenance: Conduct repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance services on diesel vehicles and equipment.
- System Inspection and Diagnosis: Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
- Work Environment: Work independently under limited supervision, following established procedures and written instructions, to maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with Company and OSHA standards.
- Technical Skills: Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs, and respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork using fleet maintenance software, documenting parts usage and repair times.
- Teamwork: Assist other mechanics with project work and review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Certifications and Licenses: Possession of active applicable certificates, licenses, or registrations is advantageous.
- Physical Demands: Ability to meet physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations, and willingness to work in environments involving physical occupational risks and elements such as dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes.
- Eligibility: Eligibility to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
