Role Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Retail Operations Manager to become part of our team.

The Retail Operations Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee the daily functions of the dispensary, lead the team, and ensure exceptional customer service.

This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the cannabis industry, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to compliance and safety protocols.


Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
  • Assist the General Manager in all operational duties of the dispensary, including stock management, sales, and customer relations.
  • Train and oversee dispensary personnel, ensuring adherence to company standards.
  • Inspire and guide the team to achieve performance goals and sales targets.
  • Provide mentorship and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Team Leadership
  • Lead a diverse group of employees, promoting a positive workplace culture based on collaboration.
  • Provide clear guidance and feedback, establishing performance expectations for staff.

Staff Development
  • Design and implement training programs for new hires and ongoing skill enhancement for current employees.
  • Identify and cultivate talent within the team, offering growth opportunities through training initiatives.

Performance Oversight
  • Conduct regular performance assessments and feedback sessions to support career advancement.
  • Utilize performance metrics and customer feedback to evaluate team effectiveness.

Conflict Management
  • Address staff conflicts promptly and effectively.
  • Mediate disputes and ensure grievances are resolved in accordance with company policies.

Inventory Control
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with product procurement.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment in compliance with regulations.

Customer Engagement
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, including product recommendations and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with all cannabis regulations and maintain accurate sales documentation.

Financial Oversight
  • Contribute to sales strategies to drive revenue and meet objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Manage daily financial operations, including cash handling and budget oversight.

Safety and Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to all regulations, including labor laws and company policies.
  • Maintain records of recruitment activities in line with regulations.

Hiring and Recruitment
  • Review applications and resumes, screening candidates based on qualifications.
  • Conduct interviews and make final hiring decisions.

Additional Responsibilities
As assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in a retail or customer service environment, preferably within the cannabis sector.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and regulations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma required; additional education in business management is advantageous.

All staff must undergo a background check as part of employment.
