We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vacuum Automation Engineer to join our team at Schmalz. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for learning and applying our vacuum automation technology to provide innovative solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Knowledge: Develop in-depth knowledge of Schmalz Vacuum Automation & Handling Systems product ranges, general robotics, and automation processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Application Engineering: Apply vacuum automation theory and practical experience to recommend safe and effective solutions for unique applications.
  • Customer Support: Provide exceptional support to end customers, distributors, sales engineers, and key account managers with application inquiries for vacuum automation.
  • Testing and Quotations: Test customer products with vacuum technology and provide advanced quotations to customers and distributors.
  • Project Management: Utilize project management skills and Solidworks 3D CAD drawing skills to interpret data and manage system sales.
  • Communication: Build rapport with outside sales engineers, key customers, and distributors, and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: Associates Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of one to two years of experience as a Sales or Application Engineer.
  • Industry Expertise: Industry expertise in technology, sales channels, business development, strategic thinking, and project execution.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Superior communication skills and ability to work as part of a team or independently.
  • Organizational and Prioritization Skills: Organizational and prioritization skills, proficiency in MS Office, sales contact management software, and adaptability to learn new computer systems.
