Position Summary

The Assistant Manager will oversee the property’s Food & Beverage operations and ensure seamless execution for group and VIP bookings. This role involves working closely with the General Manager during opposite shifts, acting as the Manager on Duty. The Assistant Manager will also assist in supervising and developing hotel staff across various departments, adapting to the evolving needs of the property.

Team Management

Daily Operations: Manage daily activities, planning and assigning tasks to ensure optimal staffing levels.

Team Development: Enhance team performance through coaching, feedback, and establishing performance goals.

Training: Equip staff with the necessary training to comply with standards and work efficiently.

HR Collaboration: Recommend HR actions as necessary and foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork.

Guest Engagement

Guest Satisfaction: Focus on guest recovery and satisfaction, addressing complaints promptly and professionally.

Feedback Implementation: Analyze guest feedback to drive continuous improvement strategies.

Communication: Relay important information regarding VIP arrivals and group requirements to relevant departments.

Service Standards: Strive to achieve high guest service scores and maintain excellence in Food & Beverage operations.

Responsible Management

Certifications: Maintain all necessary certifications and licenses for food & beverage services.

Safety Compliance: Ensure a secure environment for guests and team members, adhering to hotel policies and regulations.

Community Involvement: Encourage team participation in community initiatives.

Financial Oversight

Operational Planning: Assist the General Manager in developing and monitoring financial and operational strategies for the hotel.

Budget Management: Oversee budgetary controls, pricing, and expenses, particularly in food, beverage, and labor costs.

Revenue Enhancement: Identify opportunities for additional sales to boost revenue.
