Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Nuvance Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients, ensuring their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough admission assessments of patients
Document detailed information, including the plan of care, interventions, and outcomes
Reassess patients on a shift-to-shift basis
Complete transfer and discharge documentation, including assessments of patient needs
Communicate medication information to patients and their families
Assess patients before administering medications, noting allergies, parameters, potential side effects, and intervening as needed
Provide pain management based on patient reports and assessment findings
Requirements:
License to practice in the State of Connecticut
2-3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within three months of hire
