As an Engineering Geologist with the State Water Resources Control Board, you will play a critical role in ensuring the protection of California's waters for current and future generations.

The Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board has an opening for an Engineering Geologist (EG) in the Confined Animal Facilities Unit.


California's dairy production is a significant contributor to the state's agricultural output, and our team is responsible for permit application reviews, conducting inspections, responding to public inquiries, and writing technical memos and inspection letters.


The position is located in the Central Valley, offering a great place to grow your career with a median home price of $365k, highly rated public schools, and several colleges.


Local attractions include the Fresno Chaffee Zoo, Woodward Park, and multiple Farmers' Markets featuring local agriculture and wineries.


Duties:



  • Review permit applications and conduct inspections
  • Respond to public inquiries and write technical memos and inspection letters
  • Review discharge reports and make recommendations to the Board
