About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C) Systems Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced GN&C systems for our Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop GN&C systems for the FBM program, including hardware, algorithms, and software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GN&C systems with other program components.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Conduct system-level testing and validation of GN&C systems.
  • Work with customers and partners to understand their requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field with controls courses or industry experience.
  • Experience with MATLAB/SIMULINK for GN&C analysis.
  • Experience with system and software testing, preferably related to GN&C.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required).
Desired Skills
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with model-based software development using Simulink (and autocoding), Cameo or Rhapsody.
  • Experience modeling missile platforms and understanding missile hardware and avionics.
  • Experience applying discrete or Monte Carlo simulations.
  • Python Scripting experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability as a team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with team members.
