Cath Lab Scheduling Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

Promptly answer incoming calls, ideally by the third ring. Identify and categorize calls to ensure they are directed to the appropriate department efficiently. Exhibit professional telephone etiquette while managing calls. Minimize hold times for callers. Accurately record messages, repeating key information to ensure clarity. Input patient demographic and insurance information accurately into the system. Verify insurance details and collect necessary referrals and authorizations. Schedule appointments efficiently, adhering to established protocols. Ensure that all authorizations are secured prior to scheduling any procedures or tests. Demonstrate a clear understanding of departmental requirements and responsibilities as assigned. Show flexibility and the ability to perform various functions to enhance departmental efficiency. Alert supervisors to any issues regarding patient processing for upcoming tests or procedures. Communicate effectively with other offices to ensure accurate scheduling of tests and procedures.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in English and Spanish. Experience in clerical roles. Background in customer service.
