Senior Systems Engineer, Low Latency

At Parallel Partners, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Chicago, IL. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance systems that meet the demands of our low-latency trading infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with technology and business teams to develop and implement infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Research and implement enhancements to infrastructure systems, including automation and monitoring tools.
  • Work with industry-leading technology and hardware to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members to ensure knowledge transfer and growth.
  • Take ownership of projects from start to finish, including design, rollout, and testing.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on low-latency systems.
  • Strong Linux experience, including working with Linux servers in bare metal and virtualized environments.
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as bash and Python, and automation tools.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts.
  • Financial or trading industry experience preferred.
