Job Summary:

Riverton City is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our fleet department, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on city vehicles and heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with city vehicles and equipment
  • Assist with implementing and monitoring a preventative maintenance program to ensure cost-effective maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Communicate effectively with city departments and staff to ensure efficient operation of the fleet

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Lube technician and light mechanical work experience preferred
  • Coursework and certification in auto and equipment mechanics at a trade school preferred
  • ASE certifications preferred
  • 1-5 years of experience in auto mechanics required
  • 1-3 years of experience in municipal fleet repairs preferred
  • Current Utah Driver's License with a good driving record
  • Utah CDL license preferred

Working Conditions:

The Fleet Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to heavy equipment and vehicles. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
