JOB OVERVIEW:
In collaboration with the property manager and lead maintenance technician, the Apartment Preparation Technician's main duty is to guarantee that all vacated units are meticulously restored to 'market ready' condition promptly and in accordance with the manager's schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct inspections of vacated units and complete necessary checklists for make-ready processes.
- Regularly restore units to 'market ready' condition by executing tasks such as replacing lighting fixtures, windows, appliances, faucets, sinks, air conditioning filters, carpets, drapes, and more.
- Assist with painting tasks, clearing out apartments, changing locks, maintaining cleanliness of the grounds, delivering notices, and reporting inventory needs.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by the property manager or lead maintenance technician.
Must fulfill all physical demands and be capable of following instructions.
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Weekly schedule may vary as needed. Weekend work may be required.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Must wear back-support belts, gloves, and suitable footwear. Familiarity with safe operation and upkeep of cleaning tools is essential.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Consistent need to be on feet and engage in physical activities such as bending, climbing stairs, lifting/carrying, and writing.
- Constant need to notice details and identify areas requiring attention.
Primarily indoors, with occasional exposure to cleaning agents. May require working in awkward positions at times.
REASONING ABILITY: Must possess the ability to apply common sense understanding to execute simple instructions.
