Position Overview: The selected candidate will be tasked with the upkeep, calibration, isolation, removal, and replacement of malfunctioning components on advanced motion-based training systems, including Weapons System Trainers (WSTs), Operational Flight Trainers (OFTs), Avionics Desktop Trainers (AVDTTs), Landing Gear Part Task Trainers (LGPTTs), and Hoist Part Task Trainers (HPTTs) that facilitate the Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH) training initiative. The role encompasses both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on core computing systems, image generators, visual displays, input/output (I/O) systems, electric/hydraulic control loading mechanisms, electric/hydraulic motion systems, computer networks, and related electronic systems. The candidate will meticulously document all hardware system activities pertaining to equipment failures, modifications, removals, installations, fault diagnostics, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct operational assessments and preventive maintenance in accordance with established work instructions and technical documentation.
  • Complete On-the-Job (OJT) training requirements as specified by the ICS Manager and/or CLS Maintenance Manager.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance data collection records for equipment associated with training systems and support apparatus.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management, which may include inventory management, tools (CTK), testing apparatus, and relevant documentation.
  • Participate in meetings as directed by management and foster positive relationships with military and civilian personnel involved in the program.
  • Support modifications to training systems as directed by management while adhering to all site safety and security protocols.
  • Execute all assigned tasks with a focus on quality, pride, and accountability, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail in daily operations.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience as a field engineer on related training systems.
  • Extensive background (over 4 years) in PC-based computer repair.
  • Capability to design, implement, test, and maintain system hardware as needed with engineering support and government testing.
  • Provide technical guidance to subcontractors regarding system operation and design during modifications and testing.
  • Thorough understanding of the Request for Drawing Change (RFDAs) process.
  • Adept at drafting, reviewing, and updating Contractor Operating Instructions (COIs) and Work Instructions (WIs) pertinent to the maintenance section.
  • Proficient in Maintenance Data Collection (MDC) database management.
  • Familiarity with CLS metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Skilled in using basic software commands for fault isolation support.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
  • Capable of lifting over 25 pounds and working at heights exceeding 10 feet.
  • Eligibility to obtain an Interim secret security clearance prior to commencing this role.
  • Must possess a final DoD Secret Security Clearance before starting this position.
  • Security + certification is mandatory.
