Job Summary
Catholic Health is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center. As a member of our Central Service team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by processing and sterilizing medical equipment and instruments.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, decontaminate, inspect, lubricate, and assemble equipment and instruments following standard precautions and infection control protocols.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment and instruments to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) certification or equivalent experience required.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, equipment, and sterile supplies required.
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical safety principles required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
