Job Summary:

Catholic Health is seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center. As a member of our Central Service department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by processing and sterilizing medical equipment and instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, decontaminate, inspect, lubricate, and assemble equipment and instruments following standard precautions and infection control protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to regulatory standards and hospital policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure timely delivery of sterilized equipment and instruments.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest sterilization techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) certification or equivalent experience in sterile processing.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, equipment, and sterile supplies.
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical safety principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
