Job Title: Residential Counselor

At Plummer Youth Promise, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team. As a Residential Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing direct supervision and support to residents in our Community Treatment Residential Program.

Job Summary

The Residential Counselor is responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment for residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. You will work collaboratively with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring residents receive the necessary support to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision and support to residents in the Community Treatment Residential Program
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team
  • Engage residents in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being
  • Document interventions and progress on Daily Progress Notes using APRICOT
  • Assist with daily meal preparation and weekly menu planning
  • Administer medications in accordance with MAP policy
  • Transport residents to and from appointments, work, and other activities
  • Assist residents with weekly grocery shopping and maintaining the daily cleanliness of the program
  • Attend all relevant meetings and training sessions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced and stressful environment
  • Strong sense of commitment to the Plummer Youth Promise mission
