Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Compass Group Careers. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to guest queries and requests.
  • Perform light cleaning duties, including making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming.
  • Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  • Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies to ensure a clean and tidy environment.
  • Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery to remove dirt and stains.
  • Dust and polish furniture and fittings to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  • Clean metal fixtures and fittings to prevent corrosion and maintain a safe environment.
  • Empty and clean trash containers to prevent odors and maintain a clean environment.
  • Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner to prevent the spread of disease.
  • Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  • Wipe down glass surfaces to prevent streaks and maintain a clean environment.
  • Make up beds and change linens as required to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
  • Respond to guest queries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Respond to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Contribute to team efforts by working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow associates, and others by maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the housekeeping department.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
