We are seeking applications for a full-time, entry-level Geotechnical Engineer to support our operations. The successful candidate will be part of an established engineering firm with a rich history of growth and success in the New England region.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Geotechnical Engineer will:
- Coordinate and oversee field exploration initiatives.
- Monitor and collect geotechnical data during construction activities.
- Conduct geotechnical analyses and calculations.
- Prepare reports, proposals, and various forms of correspondence.
- Gather project data and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Communicate effectively with team members, design professionals, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies while operating company equipment.
- Engage in professional development and industry events.
- Assist in the construction materials testing department as needed.
Applicants should possess:
- A B.S. in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology.
- FE/EIT certification or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, MathCAD, and geotechnical analysis software.
- Strong mathematical skills and a solid understanding of civil engineering principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- The capacity to make informed decisions and meet project deadlines.
- The physical ability to handle materials weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Experience in data collection, analysis, and report compilation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
