Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the development of vehicle content through the requirements, design, development, and quality assurance phases.

• Collect data from vehicles, original equipment testers, and benchmarking tools (reverse engineering).

• Employ automotive bus analyzers and diagnostic tools to validate the quality of Bosch products.

• Provide support to offshore associates regarding requirements, operational procedures, and original equipment tool setup.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Knowledge
• Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols such as K-line, CAN, ISO14229, etc.

• Practical experience in reverse engineering diagnostic data, including diagnostic trouble codes, data values, actuation functions, and routines from OEM diagnostic tools.

• Experience in simulating and validating vehicle diagnostic networks.

• Familiarity with software programming in C# and SQL is preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle.

• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications
• An associate degree in automotive technology or equivalent training/experience.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Skills
• Proficient in using automotive testing equipment.

• Moderate proficiency in PC applications such as MS Excel and MS Word.

• Basic understanding of databases, including MS Access and SQL.

• Skills in PC configuration and installation.

• Fundamental math skills, including number systems and basic algebra.

• Effective communication skills for collaboration in a team setting.

Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features.

• General automotive knowledge.

Abilities
• Ability to comprehend and follow detailed testing procedures.

• Demonstrated self-starter capabilities.

• Proven ability to organize work and manage schedules effectively.

• Ability to interpret flow charts, process maps, test plans, and workflows.

• Competence in conducting online research.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
