Core Responsibilities:
  • Utilize machinery and hand tools for cleaning, deburring, preparing, straightening, passivating, tumbling, or polishing steel, as well as processing nickel-plated components and preparing parts for milling and lathe operations.
  • Efficiently handle, transport, and deliver materials using forklifts or alternative methods to assist the Fabrication department.
  • Meticulously document data in the ERP system to track part movements and associated costs.
  • Log issues in SharePoint to facilitate effective workflow and corrective actions.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance by fulfilling preventive maintenance obligations.
  • Propose and implement modern manufacturing techniques to enhance productivity and minimize expenses.
Daily Activities:
  • Uphold, support, and advocate for the Aagard vision and cultural principles.
  • Exhibit professional and respectful interactions with fellow team members.
  • Represent Aagard professionally to clients and suppliers.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Capability to read and comprehend the proper use of measuring tools.
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate a forklift.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including rounding, understanding positive/negative numbers, and the metric system.
  • Willingness to walk or stand for the majority of the workday.
  • Capacity to lift, push, or pull weights up to 75 lbs.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices.
