Entry Level Civil Engineer

Job Overview

As a Civil Engineer at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will engage with our project teams to develop site designs, manage erosion and sedimentation, and implement stormwater management systems. Your responsibilities will include preparing utility and grading plans, as well as creating project specifications under the mentorship of a licensed Professional Engineer.

You will be involved in various stages of projects, from initial concepts and design to regulatory reviews, bidding processes, and construction phases. Collaboration with other disciplines, such as Geotechnical, Ecological, Environmental, and Surveying Practices, will be essential to support our diverse projects.



Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects.
  • Prepare detailed plans and specifications for various engineering tasks.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
  • Engage in the regulatory review process and support bidding efforts.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience or internship experience is desirable.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil3D is advantageous.
  • Interest in sectors such as Real Estate, Oil & Gas, Renewables, Solid Waste, and Manufacturing is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly in a professional environment.
  • Effective collaboration skills in team settings.
