Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe to join our team at Integrated Oncology Network, LLC. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in accurately documenting patient interactions and maintaining efficient patient flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany physicians into patient examination rooms to transcribe histories and physical examinations.
  • Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and e-prescribing.
  • Document procedures performed by physicians in the electronic medical record.
  • Transcribe consultations and discussions with family members and private physicians.
  • Complete patient electronic records by transcribing lab results, x-rays, and other evaluations.
  • Assist physicians with other duties related to patient care as instructed.
  • Work collaboratively with nursing and clerical staff to maintain efficient patient flow.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited educational institution or a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Knowledge of computer/telephony support, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong customer service background, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Competence with computer processing functions and other standard office equipment.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to calmly and professionally resolve customer issues with diplomacy and tact.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills.
Working Conditions
  • This position functions primarily indoors in a medical/business environment.
  • Employee may be subject to blood-borne pathogens, radiation, bio-waste, and other medically-related factors, with exposure to moderate noise levels.
