Job Overview

VocoVision seeks an experienced and dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired to join our team. This role involves meeting the educational needs of students with visual impairments in a remote setting for a school district in Butler, PA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments
  • Provide instruction and support to students in a variety of subjects, including reading, writing, and math
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure seamless integration of visually impaired students into the general education classroom
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
  • A valid Pennsylvania teaching license with endorsement in Teaching the Visually Impaired
  • At least 2 years of previous experience working in schools with visually impaired students
