Job Description

Are you passionate about educating students with visual impairments?

We are actively seeking a qualified and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team at VocoVision.

About the Job:

As a TVI, you will be responsible for meeting the educational needs of students with visual impairments in a remote setting for a school district in Butler, PA.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with visual impairments.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to provide comprehensive support to students.
  • Use assistive technology and adaptive techniques to facilitate student learning.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
  • A valid Pennsylvania teaching license with endorsement in Teaching the Visually Impaired.
  • At least 2 years of previous experience working in schools.
Compensation:

This is a 1099 contract position with competitive compensation for direct and indirect hours. Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
