Job Summary

This Crisis Therapist role is an exciting opportunity to join the La Frontera Center Inc. team as a part-time crisis therapist working on weekends in our mobile crisis intervention program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing direct in-home, in-office, and community-based crisis counseling services to youth, adults, and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive crisis counseling services, including follow-up services as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the agency and state, community behavioral health, and contracting organizations.
  • Provide instruction and training for interns, pool staff, and new staff as assigned by the Program Coordinator or Department Manager.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's Degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in crisis services, preferably in sub-acute or urgent psychiatric settings.
  • Flexibility to extend work shifts to complete crisis work, paperwork, etc., as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm in stressful situations and collaborate/work in a team environment.
  • Spanish/English bilingual preferred.
  • A valid AZ driver's license with no major infractions for the past 39 months.
  • Fingerprint clearance card required or must be eligible to obtain one.
